Shipping & Delivery Policy

All shipping and delivery dates provided by Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC are estimates only. Estimated dates are based on the most current information available from the applicable carrier or delivery service and are provided as a courtesy to assist customers with planning.

While we make every reasonable effort to prevent unnecessary delays, carrier schedules, weather, transportation conditions, freight availability, and other circumstances outside our control may affect delivery. Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC does not guarantee delivery dates.

For shipments utilizing carrier tracking, customers will receive tracking information when it becomes available. Tracking information may be used to monitor the status and estimated delivery of the shipment.

Freight Shipping & $149.99 Deposit

Orders requiring freight shipping may be charged a $149.99 Freight Deposit at checkout. This amount is a deposit toward freight and is not necessarily the final shipping charge.

The $149.99 deposit will be credited toward the actual freight cost for the order. Final freight charges may vary based on factors including delivery destination, packaged dimensions and weight, shipment configuration, carrier requirements, accessibility of the delivery location, and other applicable transportation or handling charges.

If the final freight cost exceeds the $149.99 deposit, Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC will provide the customer with the remaining freight balance. Any remaining freight balance must be paid in full before the order is released for shipment.

If the final freight cost is less than the $149.99 deposit collected, the applicable difference will be credited or refunded to the customer. Any refund due will be initiated by Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC within ten (10) business days after the final freight cost has been determined.

Once a refund has been initiated, the time required for the funds to appear in the customer's account is determined by the customer's financial institution, card issuer, payment processor, or other payment provider. Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC is not responsible for processing or posting delays occurring after the refund has been submitted to the applicable payment processor or financial institution.

Payment of the freight deposit and completion of checkout constitutes the customer's acknowledgment that the $149.99 freight deposit is not a guarantee or cap on the final freight cost.

Freight Delivery Services & Customer Responsibilities

Unless specifically stated otherwise in the customer's order or final freight quotation, freight charges cover transportation of the merchandise only. Freight delivery does not automatically include inside delivery, placement, unpacking, assembly, installation, removal of packaging materials, or other special handling services.

Depending on the destination and carrier, additional services may be available or required, including residential delivery, liftgate service, limited-access delivery, scheduled delivery appointments, inside delivery, or white-glove service. When applicable, these services may result in additional charges and will be included in the final freight calculation or invoiced separately before shipment.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information and notifying Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC of any circumstances that could affect delivery, including limited access, gated communities, narrow roads or driveways, restricted commercial locations, stairs, elevators, or other conditions that may require specialized equipment or service.

Unless specifically purchased or agreed to in writing, freight carriers are not responsible for assembling, installing, positioning, or permanently placing merchandise.

Customers should inspect freight shipments at the time of delivery whenever reasonably possible. Visible damage to the packaging or merchandise should be documented with photographs and noted with the carrier before accepting delivery. Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC should be notified promptly of any freight damage so that we may assist with the applicable carrier claim process.

Local & Southern Yankee Delivery

Orders delivered directly by Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC may be subject to separate local, extended, or regional delivery rates based on the delivery destination.

Unless specifically agreed to in writing, delivery includes transportation of the purchased merchandise to the standard delivery location and does not include installation, mounting, assembly, structural attachment, or placement beyond the standard delivery area.

Standard Delivery Location

Standard delivery is limited to the customer's established driveway or another safe and accessible location directly adjoining the public roadway.

For safety and property-protection purposes, Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC delivery vehicles and equipment will not enter lawns, yards, fields, landscaped areas, or other portions of the customer's property outside an established roadway or driveway.

Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC reserves the right to determine whether a requested delivery location or access route can be safely accessed by its vehicle, trailer, personnel, or delivery equipment.

Customer-Requested Deviation from Standard Delivery

If the purchaser specifically requests, directs, or authorizes Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC to deviate from the standard delivery policy, including movement or placement of merchandise beyond the established driveway or approved delivery area, the purchaser assumes the risks associated with the requested deviation.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the purchaser further agrees to release, defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC and its members, owners, managers, employees, agents, contractors, representatives, and insurers from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, expenses, or property damage arising from or related to the requested deviation, except to the extent caused by the sole negligence, gross negligence, or willful misconduct of Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC or to the extent such release or indemnification is otherwise prohibited by applicable law.

This provision includes, without limitation, claims involving lawns, landscaping, irrigation systems, underground utilities, driveways, walkways, structures, fencing, vehicles, or other real or personal property affected by a customer-requested deviation from the standard delivery location.

Swing & Suspended Product Installation

For safety and liability reasons, Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC does not install or hang porch swings, bed swings, or other suspended products.

Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC cannot inspect, certify, or guarantee the structural integrity, suitability, condition, installation, or load-bearing capacity of a customer's ceiling, beam, framing, mounting surface, supporting structure, existing hardware, or other attachment point.

Selection of an appropriate mounting location, verification of structural capacity, selection and installation of appropriate mounting hardware, and final installation are the responsibility of the purchaser and/or a qualified installer selected by the purchaser.

Completion of Delivery

Once merchandise has been delivered to the designated and approved delivery location and delivery has been completed, Southern Yankee Woodworking, LLC is not responsible for subsequent theft, loss, weather exposure, misuse, improper installation, customer handling, relocation, or damage occurring after delivery.
